This project aims to develop and validate advanced quantum magnetic-field measurement technologies based on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond for high-frequency applications in power systems.
The research combines the simulation and preparation of high-quality NV-center materials, high-speed quantum control, and the analysis of characteristic magnetic signals in complex electromagnetic environments.
In cooperation with CEPRI and the University of Stuttgart, R&D Nester will establish a diamond NV-center quantum magnetic measurement platform in its laboratory.
This platform will integrate the prototype high-frequency measurement system, including optical excitation and fluorescence collection, microwave control, quantum-control sequences and signal-processing functions. It will target high sensitivity, a wide measurement range, broadband response and robust operation under electrical interference.
This platform will be tested in representative power-system scenarios, including DC and AC magnetic-field generation and impulse-current measurement.
The results will support the application of quantum sensing to precision electrical metrology and provide a foundation for future high-performance magnetic-field monitoring solutions.
