During the internship, the interns developed practical case studies on compliance analysis and management related to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the new European Batteries Regulation, as well as simulations of operations in the European Guarantees of Origin markets and activities involving the analysis and management of aggregated renewable assets operating in the energy and ancillary services markets.

This work contributed to a deeper understanding of the regulatory and market mechanisms associated with the energy transition, including carbon trading, renewable electricity certification, and the participation of aggregated renewable resources across the various segments of the electricity markets.
